When the immortal souls that define us no longer reside in human flesh, which souls will share the joy of God's Eternal Presence? Which souls will know the comfort of His Eternal Grace and the companionship of other immortal souls in the place some call heaven? This question has confronted us from the moment we first believed in an Eternal God and the possibility that we are eternal souls.
Every religion attempts to answer this question of the Eternal-I-Am. If we acknowledge that different religious doctrines both converge and diverge and often conflict one thing is certain; not all of them can be right--at least not in every prescriptive detail. All of them could be wrong. But not all of them can be right. No religion has possession of all of our God of Creation's eternal truths.
On this plane of our existence humankind is not privy to know much about God's Creation. However, most religions agree at least on one "truth". At the pinnacle of our existence, The Source of Life will make room in His Eternal Kingdom, or heaven if you prefer, for those of us who have attempted without compromise to attend to the purpose of which God Created Us. For the rest of us, He has no need. So why do the people rage and imagine vain things?
Disagreements between religions occur on many levels, including but limited to the purpose of human life, the beginning of human life, and the different stages of our existence. When we look beyond the greed of military conquests and greedy Plutocracts, much of the social conflict rising out of religion occurs because of varying beliefs about prescriptive dogma regarding the social, tribal political, and personal behaviors required by the Source of Life as defined by each religion.
The strong Impression we receive is that "God provides comfort through eternity to those who have served him by treating other people with justice, respect, civility, honor, and integrity; have taken care of the garden we call Earth; and have performed the important service of rendering to God the attention God requires.
Regardless of which religious well you choose to drink from, all God requires of you is that the immortal soul that defines you wishes to please Him. Still, God has made it very clear by the messages He sends to us, and not necessarily through a religious officiant since He speaks to all of us if we choose to listen. He requires us to do it with moral integrity and that our routine behaviors must manifest civility, justice, care for the poor and needy, and seek the preservation of the life of living human beings and human dignity.
Even your most passionate desire to please God, by whatever rationalization you employ to reach decisions about the behaviors you choose to exhibit, does not give you the right to violate these conditions. Even your most passionate desire to please God will not buy you immunity from the Pain of God's Wrath and Retribution when you trespass on His Will for all His human creations.
There can never be enough motivation sacred enough to justify the evil humans to other human beings and to the garden we call Earth. It is sacrilege to impute the name of God to justify any violation of human life, human dignity, and the pursuit of a healthy happiness of living human beings. Do not permit yourself the banal luxury of of drowning in the evil arrogance of the belief that you and the people who share your religious beliefs or religious affiliation are the only people who have heard the music of God' Promordial Song.
Selah.
